Frederick A. “Fred” Molchany, 81, of Allentown, died Nov. 5, 2022.

He was the husband of the late Dianne K. (Kingston).

Born in Coplay, he was a son of the late George and Victoria (Hudak) Molchany.

He was a graduate of Central Catholic High School and a member of St. Thomas More Catholic Church.

A Navy veteran, he was employed at Mack Trucks Inc. for 36 years before retiring and was a dedicated board member of People First Federal Credit Union for 37 years.

He enjoyed golf, travel and prided himself on being the social director among his friends.

He organized weekly Friday dinners, hosted New Year’s Eve parties and his door was always open for friends to stop by.

He could be found with friends at the gym every morning followed by coffee at Dunkin’ Donuts.

His survivors include daughters Erin C. of Pittsburgh, Marisa N. Pao and husband, Perry, of Charlotte, N.C.; grandchildren Paige and Penn Pao; sister Priscilla Scheetz of Allentown; brother George of Laurys Station; and nieces and nephews.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 10:30 a.m. Nov. 12 in the church, 1040 Flexer Ave., Allentown.

Call 9 a.m. until Mass. Interment will be in Resurrection Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to a charity of one’s choice.
