Congratulations to the Catasauqua High School marching band and color guard for scoring an 88.69 at their most recent competition. They finished second place out of six bands.

Catasauqua Community Cares Program is in need of new and gently used coats to distribute to Catasauqua Area School District students.

Donations can be dropped off from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. until Nov. 10 at the CASD office, 201 N. 14th St., Catasauqua.

The program is especially in need of adult-size jackets for middle and high school students, but all sizes are being accepted.

The distribution will be 9 a.m.-noon Nov. 12 at the school district office.

The following college representatives will be available to meet with interested Catasauqua High School junior and senior students in the school’s cafeteria during the Rough Rider block: Kutztown University, Nov. 14; King’s College, Nov. 21; and Lehigh Carbon Community College, Dec. 5.

Any student interested in speaking to any of these college representatives should report directly to the cafeteria, where attendance will be taken.
