Ronald J. Gable, 90, of Lehigh Township, died Nov. 2, 2022, in his home. He was the husband of Shirley A. (Mast) for 67 years.

Born in Treichlers, he was a son of the late Russell and Margaret (Roberts) Gable.

He was in the U.S. Army during Korea.

He was a draftsman for Western Electric. He retired from Mack Trucks.

He was a member of Hope Lutheran Church, Cherryville, where he was on the church building committee to build the new church. He was part of the blood drive in memory of his son Doug for 20 years.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by a daughter, Sharon and husband Al Hornyak; two grandchildren, David and Miah Hornyak; nieces; and nephews.

He was predeceased by a son, Doug; and five siblings, Wayne, Richard, Larry, Doris Getz and Shirley Furry.

Contributions may be made to the church, 4131 Lehigh Drive, Cherryville; or to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
