North Catasauqua: Holiday sale set for Nov. 10-12 benefits Mrs. Nothstein’s fund

St. John Fisher Church, 1239 Third St., will hold a homemade holiday craft and food sale 9 a.m.-8 p.m. Nov. 10 and 11 and 9 a.m.-2 p.m. Nov. 12. There will be more than 30 local crafters who have created a selection of one-of-a-kind holiday gifts, general crafts, homemade food and tasty treats.

This is the 10th annual holiday shopping event, which benefits Mrs. Nothstein’s Helping Hands Fund.

Catty Seniors Plus will meet 1 p.m. Nov. 16 at Slovak Center Social Club, 1233 Fifth St., North Catasauqua, instead of the fourth Wednesday of the month because of the Thanksgiving holiday. Doors open noon.

It will be a regular meeting with a sign-up for the Christmas dinner Dec. 21. You must be registered for the dinner.

There will be dessert, coffee and bingo at the meeting. Monetary donations are being collected for the food bank.

Public Library of Catasauqua, 302 Bridge St., is showing a movie 11 a.m. Nov. 19 - “Paws of Fury: The Legend of Hank.” The rating is PG, and children and parents are welcome.

The teen group sets up the movie and serves popcorn and water to the audience.

Library staff would like to give a shout-out to Jack, Ben, Christian and Dario for their hard work.

The North Catasauqua Christmas tree-lighting ceremony will be 6 p.m. Nov. 27 at North Catasauqua William J. Albert Memorial Park, 701 Grove St.

The rain date is set for Nov. 28.
