Leona M. (Henry) Mazepa, 84, formerly of Emmaus, died Oct. 21, 2022, in Seattle, Wash. She was the former wife of the late Dr. Stephen C. Mazepa. Born in Newark, N.J., she was the daughter of the late Wilbur E. and Leona (Faria) Henry.

She loved and served her community as owner/operator of Lee Mazepa’s Family Day Care in Emmaus for 22 years before retiring. It was her great privilege to help raise many of the children of Emmaus and surrounding areas.

She was a member of Bethel Bible Fellowship Church.

Family was everything to her. Her three children were her greatest joy.

She is survived by son, Steven H. and his wife, Debra, daughter, Kathy and her husband, Sergio Obando, son, Darin P., D.C.; grandchildren, Shilo, Zoe, Andrew, Samuel and Kaimana. She was predeceased by brothers, Wilbur and Patrick Henry.

Services will be held 11 a.m. Nov. 12 at the Trexler Funeral Home, 1625 W. Highland St., Allentown. Visitation will be held 6 to 8 p.m. Nov. 11 in the funeral home.
