Frederick W. “Fred” Ruch Jr., 66, of Emmaus, died Nov. 5, 2022, at Lehigh Valley Hospital, Inpatient Hospice Unit, Allentown. He was the husband of Ruth M. (German) Ruch to whom he was married 42 years Sept. 27. Born in Baltimore, Md., he was the son of the late Claire (Frazier) Ruch and Elwood Rhoades.
He was an assembly line worker at Amcor Rigid Plastic in Allentown for several years, retiring in 2020. Before that he was employed as an assembly line worker for Hatfield Quality Meats, Lehigh Valley Dairy and Mack Trucks, Inc.
He was an avid fisherman and hunter, enjoyed going to flea markets and gardening. He was a Christian.
He is survived by his wife; sons, Frederick S., of Wimauma, Fla., Jonathan W. and his wife, Sara, of Jersey City, N.J.; granddaughter, Hailey Grace; sisters-in-law, Patricia, Charlotte, Ellen, Elaine, Debbie; brothers-in-law, Wilson, Jeff, Tommy; many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by brothers-in-law, Marlyn and Tom.

A funeral service will be held 11 a.m. Nov. 12 in the Heintzelman Funeral Home, Inc., 4906 Route 309, Schnecksville. Family and friends may pay their respects 9 to 11 a.m. Nov. 12 in the funeral home.
