BAVTS: Something special for Halloween

Press photos courtesy BAVTS Faculty and staff members at Bethlehem Area Vocation-Technical School had a special surprise for students on Halloween Day. The “Boo Crew,” as they became known, decorated school hallways appropriately for Halloween. The idea came from Executive Director Adam Lazarchak, according to Susan Fahrenkopf, administrative assistant. “For me, Sunday night was like Christmas Eve as a kid – restless, no sleep – too excited,” Fahrenkopf said. “The reactions from the kids was reward enough. Getting requests to pose for selfies and receiving compliments on my costume from the kids made my day for sure.” The decoration of the building happened on Sunday with various staff members who came in from 8 a.m. to noon. “For those who jumped on the Thriller flash mob band wagon, thank you for putting aside any vanity or self-consciousness to join in and give the kids a good laugh and something to talk about for days (and pull up on video I'm sure),” Fahrenkopf wrote in a thank you message to staff members. “Technical glitches aside, another successful hair-brained scheme in the books”
