Lehigh Carbon Community College (LCCC) will honor veterans with several events during Veterans Appreciation Week, Nov. 7-12, main campus, Schnecksville.

The Veterans Appreciation Celebration is set for 11 a.m. Nov. 9, cafeteria, Academic Resource Center. Veterans and military-affiliated students and families are invited to stop by and enjoy cake with the Veteran Support Team and Veterans Club members.

The Veterans Day Remembrance Ceremony is 9 a.m. Nov. 11, in front of the flagpoles at the Student Services Center.

Joining the ceremony will be members of the Louise E. Dieruff Air Force JROTC and the Parkland High School Chorale.

Guest speaker is Russell Lande, U.S. Coast Guard veteran and 2021 graduate of the LCCC CDL program.

“Faces of Honor” photo tribute will be on display throughout the week in the Student Services Center.

The Veterans Club at LCCC is partnering with Victory House of the Lehigh Valley to provide winter donations to support the homeless veteran community.

The week of celebrations will conclude with the 5K Ruck ‘n Run-Walk, 9 a.m. Nov. 12, Bicentennial Park West, Bethlehem.
