Amelia White, 7 p.m. Nov. 3, Godfrey Daniels, Bethlehem. White moved from Boston to East Nashville, Tenn., in the early 2000s to become a leading singer-songwriter. Her debut album was “Blue Souvenirs” in 2001. She released “Rhythm of the Rain” in 2019. White’s latest album, “Rocket Rearview,” was released Sept. 30. Valerie June, Violet Bell, 7:30 p.m. Nov. 8, Musikfest Café, SteelStacks, Bethlehem. Grammy-nominated, Tennessee-born, Brooklyn-based singer-songwriter Valerie June has been recording and performing since she was 19-years-old, climbing from Memphis coffee houses to national TV performances and getting name-checked by Bob Dylan. June’s label debut was “Pushin’ Against a Stone” (2013). Her second album was “The Order of Time” (2017). June’s latest album, “The Moon and Stars: Prescriptions for Dreamers,” released in 2021, weaves a tapestry of folk, soul, gospel, country, blues, psychedelia and symphonic pop. The album received a 2022 Grammy nomination for Best American Roots Song (“Call Me A Fool”). June’s first book, “Maps for the Modern World,” is a collection of poems and original illustrations. Violet Bell is Omar Ruiz-Lopez and Lizzy Ross. On the upcoming album, “Shapeshifter,” they re-imagine the ancient story of the selkie, a mythical seal that can shed her skin to become human. Angel, 8 p.m. Nov. 5, Mauch Chunk Opera House, Jim Thorpe. Angel is a rock band formed in the mid-1970s in Washington, D.C., by Punky Meadows and Mickie Jones. They are primarily known for their flamboyant glam stage presence and white satin outfits. Discovered by Kiss bass player Gene Simmons, the group issued their eponymous debut album in 1975. Angel’s albums include “Helluva Band” (1976), “On Earth as It Is in Heaven” (1977), “White Hot” (1978), “Sinful” (1979), “In the Beginning” (1999) and “Risen” (2019). The band is: Frank DiMino, lead vocals; Punky Meadows, guitars; Danny Farrow, rhythm guitars; Charlie Calv, keyboards; Steve Ojane, bass; Billy Orrico, drums.
