EHS Theater Department presents perform ‘Almost, Maine’
The Emmaus High School Theater Department will present “Almost, Maine,” a romantic comedy with magical touches, Nov. 3 to 5 at the school, 500 Macungie Ave., Emmaus.
All performances are 7 p.m. in the EHS auditorium. Tickets are available through the school website and also will be available at the door.
Gold Card holders may present their cards in the EHS main office or at the door to receive a complimentary ticket to any performance.
Written by John Cariani, the play is set during one very cold midwinter night in the fictional small town of Almost in Maine. The play examines romance, love and loss.
The play is included in the anthology “New Playwrights: Best Plays of 2006” and is a frequent top choice of high school theater departments. A collection of short scenes or mini plays, the work has been described by Cariani as about “falling in and out of love.”
The EHS cast includes: Charles Kenney as Pete, Eliza Harriott as Ginette, T.J. Seislove as East, Lauren Bendekovitz as Glory, Anson Wright as Jimmy, Katie James as Sandrine, Miel Orrison as Waitress/Suzette, Matthew McCambridge as Steve, Lorelei Kilka as Marvalyn, Rose Alsleben as Gayle, Jacob Klinedinst as Lendall, Ashley Baker as Deena, Abby Roth as Shelly, Jacob Klinedinst as Phil, Julia Brown as Marci, Emily Novak as Hope, Aiden Panko as Man, Hayden David as Dave and Cecilia Christ as Rhonda.
Maeve Yanes is stage manager and production assistant for “Almost, Maine.”
Ethan Berger, Joey Harinksy, Brett Heier, Gabe Meyers and Katerina Starry handle lighting.
Kayla DiGiacomo, Alex Dolcemascolo, Joshua Jones and Thomas McDonnell make up the sound crew.
The build/run crew includes Steal Eisenhart, Ross Gaul, Jabari Howard, Joseph Ko, Brandon Leader, Rylie Newpher, Ariana Ruiz, Cecilia Ruyak, Mikayla Sames and Anna Smith.
Liam Hughes, Michael Krem, CJ Levinson and Bek Lopez handle props.
The costume crew includes Nicole Armstrong, James Chen, Demi Kirkopoulos and Nadia Valero.
Leia Abruzzese, Madelyn Cintado, Charles Cuadra, Noah Edge, Christopher Fullenwider, Molly Himes, Isabel Jurado, AlexKeane, Hannah Kern, Mia Laporte, Marleigh Llewellyn, Berto Lugo, Alayna Male, Persia Mullay, Madison Peters, Ava Grace Saab, Madisyn Servais, Kyra Snow and Skylar Thompson keep things running smoothly covering front-of-house.

In the program notes for the production, EHS Theater Department Artistic Director Jill Kuebler writes, “This production would not have been possible without the commitment and dedication of every student involved, whether onstage or behind the scenes.”
