EHS names student of the week
Q. In what grade are you currently enrolled?
A. I am currently in 12th grade at Emmaus High School.
Q. Please provide the first names of your family members: parents, siblings and pets.
A. My mother’s name is Deborah and my father’s name is James. I have a younger and older brother named Colin and Liam respectively. I have a dog named Hazel.
Q. What is your favorite subject? Why?
A. My favorite subject is math. I always liked math growing up and it helps that I was pretty good at it.
Q. Have you received any special awards or recognition?
A. I received the Sergeant StoneBeck Award. This award was for resiliency, discipline, toughness and leadership. I was also picked by my teammates to be captain of Emmaus’ varsity football team.
Q. Are you involved in any extracurricular activities? How has being involved in these organizations impacted your high school experience?
A. I am in the Key Club and National Honor Society. These organizations helped me find ways to give back to the community. I am also on the Emmaus football and lacrosse teams. Throughout high school these teams gave me a group I could always count on.
Q. What do you consider your biggest challenge to date?
A. Trying to keep up good grades when it is football or lacrosse season.
Q. What is your next goal after high school?
A. I hope to obtain a degree in electrical engineering.
Q. Whom do you admire? Why?
A. I admire my older brother. He is currently attending Penn State and he is a great role model. He always sets the bar high and helps me whenever I need it.
Q. For what would you like to be remembered?
A. I would like to be remembered as a genuinely nice guy or as a smiling friendly face.
Q. Do you have any advice for your peers?
A. The only advice I could give would be to always try to do the right thing because you never know the impact that a kind simple gesture could make.
