Northampton police responded to these and other calls recently.

OCT. 6

Traffic stops were conducted in the 2000 block of Canal Street, at East 10th and Adaire streets, at Main and East 17th streets and in the unit block of West 21st Street.

Disorderly conduct was investigated at West 14th and Canal streets.

Police checked on the welfare of a male in the 200 block of West 26th Street.

A domestic dispute took place in the 100 block of East Fourth Street.

OCT. 7

Traffic stops were conducted in the unit block of West 21st Street, at Main and East 19th streets, at West 25th Street and Perch Alley, in the 1800 block of Main Street, at Main and East 14th streets and at Main Street and East 19th Street.

A hit and run took place in the 800 block of Main Street. A legally parked vehicle was struck, damaging the driver-side mirror.

Officers assisted a female in the 1800 block of Main Street.

A report of fireworks in the 1600 block of Lincoln Avenue was reported.

Police responded to a juvenile issue in the 1600 block of Newport Avenue.

OCT. 8

Traffic stops were conducted in the 1300 block of Main Street, at East 21st Street and Hokendauqua Avenue, at Laubach and Washington avenues, at East 18th Street and Hokendauqua Avenue and in the 1300 block of Canal Street.

A report of loud music in the 1300 block of Newport Avenue was addressed.

An intoxicated male in the 1000 block of Main Street was reported.

Police responded to a report of checking account fraud in the 600 block of Buckingham Drive.

OCT. 9

In the 400 block of East Fifth Street, it was reported while a large dark sedan drove by, a loud explosion occurred. Officers located a tube from a firework. A legally parked vehicle and the window of a residence were damaged.

Neighbor complaints were investigated in the 2600 block of Cherryville Road and in the 1300 block of Newport Avenue.

A suspicious male in the 100 block of East 16th Street had police at the scene.

Traffic stops were conducted at Main and East Fourth streets and in the unit block of West 21st Street.

OCT. 10

Traffic stops were conducted in the 1700 block of Franklin Street, the 1500 block of Main Street, at Main and West 14th streets and in the unit block of West 21st Street.

Officers checked on the welfare of a male in the 2000 block of Main Street.

OCT. 11

Traffic stops were conducted in the 600 block of East Fourth Street, at Horwith Drive and Hollow Lane and at Canal and West 21st streets.

A juvenile issue at West 14th and Canal streets was filed with the department.

Police responded to a civil matter in the 1200 block of Newport Avenue.

OCT. 12

Officers assisted a male in the 1600 block of Main Street.

A hit and run took place in the 1900 block of Main Street. A legally parked vehicle was struck, damaging the driver-side mirror.

Criminal mischief - damage to a fence - in the unit block of East 24th Street was reported.

A civil matter in the 1400 block of Laubach Avenue was investigated.

Traffic stops were conducted in the 300 block of Howertown Road, at East Fourth Street and Howertown Road and at Canal and Lumber streets.

OCT. 13

A suspected DUI at Center and West 21st streets had police at the scene.

Traffic stops were conducted in the unit block of West 21st Street, the 600 block of East 21st Street, the 1700 block of Main Street, at Smith Lane and Laubach Avenue, at Main and West 21st streets.

Police checked on the welfare of a male in the 2900 block of Center Road and on a female in the 300 block of East 10th Street.

Suspicious activity in the 500 block of East 12th Street was investigated.

In the 1800 block of Franklin Street, an officer observed a male known to have an outstanding warrant. He was taken into custody and transported to Northampton County Prison.
