Neil W. Polster

Neil W. Polster, 87, of Allentown, died Oct. 29, 2022, in St. Luke’s Hospice House. He was the husband of Shirley E. (Apffel) Polster. They were married for 69 years. Born in Emmaus, he was the son of the late Arthur E. and Arlene C. (Miller) Polster.

He was a 1952 graduate of Emmaus High School, where he was captain of the football team and co-captain of the basketball team.

He worked for Bethlehem Steel as a market research analyst, retiring in 1985.

He was a member of St. John’s U.C.C., Emmaus.

He was a competitive pistol shooter in the Mack Pistol League and Allentown Police League. He was also a member of Guthsville Rod and Gun Club, Ontelaunee Rod and Gun Cub, Emmaus Historical Society and the Mercantile Club of Emmaus.

He is survived by his wife; daughters, Vicki and her husband, Chuck Cech, of Auburn, Calif. and Terri, wife of Fran Conlin, of Allentown; son-in-law, Jeff Hill, of Allentown; daughter-in-law, Denise, of Livonia, Mich.; grandchildren, Mark Martucci and his wife, Natalie, Brett Martucci and his wife, Cheryl and Daniel; great-grandchildren, Brittany, Imogen, Evan and McGuire Martucci. He was predeceased by a son, John, a daughter, Judy Hill and a brother, Bruce.

As per his request, there will be no public service. Arrangements were made by the Schantz Funeral Home, P.C., Emmaus
