Cline earns Eagle Scout rank

Timothy Christian Cline, of Catasauqua, was honored for successfully completing all levels of Scouting in an Oct. 22 Eagle Scout Court of Honor, sponsored by Catasauqua’s Boy Scout Troop 94 and held at St. Elizabeth of Hungary Roman Catholic Church, 618 Fullerton Ave., Whitehall.

Cline earned 38 merit badges in his quest for the Eagle rank. At least 21 merit badges are needed.

He began his Scouting journey more than a decade ago as a Tiger Cub and then a Cub Scout. He rose through the ranks: Scout, Tenderfoot, Second Class, First Class, Star, Life and then Eagle.

For his Eagle project, Cline organized a food drive and collected a large number of items for the Catasauqua Community Food Bank. More than 5,000 food items were collected during the project.

Jennifer and Randy Kibler, Cline’s mother and stepfather, were on hand for the Eagle Scout ceremony and were clearly proud and excited for their son’s achievement.

A senior at Catasauqua High School, Cline plans to study TV/film productions at Lehigh Carbon Community College. He said he is already taking college-level courses, in addition to his high school classes.
