Charles F. “Charlie” Abromitis, 57, of Macungie, died Oct. 24, 2022, in his home surrounded by his wife, children, grandchildren and puppies, after losing his battle to cancer. He was the husband of Sharon (Thomas) Abromitis. Born in Shamokin, he was the son of the late Charles and Mary Ann (Kabo) Abromitis.
He was a graduate of Shamokin Area High School, Class of 1983 and Penn State University, Class of 1987.
He was most recently employed in the quality Control Department at Freshpet, Bethlehem.
He loved sports and played all but football in high school. He loved spending time with his children, grandchildren and dogs.
He enjoyed traveling with his son’s baseball team and spending time with the “Baseball Dads.”
He was a lifelong Phillies, Dolphins and PSU fan attending their games often.
He is survived by his wife; daughters, Stesha Barcavage, of Shamokin, Macey and her fiancé, Tom Haug, of Freemansburg, Regan, of Salt Lake City, Utah; son, Mason, at home who is a baseball player at Elon University, N.C.; grandchildren, Leah (Bones) Kosmer and Halle Swank, of Shamokin; his dogs, Dansby and Grover; grandpuppies, Raiden, Sonya, Valley and Sike; brother-in-law, John Fawney Thomas; mother-in-law, Corrine (Hoy) Thomas; aunt, Barbara (Hoy) Kessler, all of Shamokin; siblings, John and his wife, Evelyn, of Bradenton, Fla., Charlene and her husband, Larry Cove, of Catawissa; Mary and her husband, Patrick Musinski, of West Pittston; many nieces; nephews; cousins; aunts; uncles and friends.
Contributions may be made payable to the Stephens Funeral Home, Inc. to assist Mason with his college expenses.
