Bernard C. Flory, 75, of Northampton, died Oct. 29, 2022, at St. Luke’s Hospital, Bethlehem. He was the husband of Linda E. (Remaly) Flory for 25 years.
Born in Allentown, he was a son of the late William E. and Elda M. (Hess) Flory.
He was a 1964 graduate of the Northampton High School. He attended Waynesburg College, Greene County.
He was a U.S. Army veteran of Vietnam. He was with headquarters company, 8th Army, Korea and Vietnam, and earned the rank of SP5.
He was president and CEO of Keystone Farm Credit, Shoemakersville, and of Lehigh Valley Farm Credit, Fogelsville. Earlier, he was employed by Montgomery, Bucks Farm Bureau as credit office manager and AVCO Financial Services in the Harrisburg, Reading, Allentown and Lockhaven branches.
He was a member of St. Peter’s United Church of Christ, Seemsville, where was on the church consistory.
He was a member and past president of the Upper Saucon Lions Club. He was a visiting veteran volunteer of the former Heartland Hospice.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by three daughters, Alicia S. and husband Anthony Smolar of Haverhill, Mass., Sherry and husband Michael Eyre and Beth E. Smith, all of Northampton; a son, Mark Roth of Walnutport; and six grandchildren, Larry, Matthew, Robert, Daniel, Megan and Sofia.
There will be a calling hour 10-11 a.m., followed by a service 11 a.m., Nov. 3 at the church, 8142 Valley View Road, Northampton, 18067.
Contributions may be made to the church memorial fund.
