Traditions of Hanover is honoring military veterans with a Veterans (and spouses) Grab and Go drive-thru hot breakfast beginning at 8 a.m. at the retirement living community, 5300 Northgate Drive. In appreciation for your service, there will be French toast, scrambled eggs, hash browns, bacon, Danish pastries, coffee and juice.

National Museum of Industrial History 10 a.m. Veterans Day, commemoration ceremony hosted by the Steelworkers Veteran’s Memorial Committee, a performance by the Broughal MS Band and various speakers representing the Nam Knights of America Lehigh Valley Chapter, members of the Steelworkers Veterans’ Memorial Committee and government officials begins at 10 a.m. There will be a special keynote speaker.

Community Healing Service of Reconciliation for Veterans and non-Veterans led by VA chaplains, community clergy and Veterans. 4 to 6 p.m. U.S. citizens are invited to see themselves as sharing responsibility for various harms perpetrated by, or occurring within, the U.S. military. Veterans Day at SteelStacks, presented by Embassy Bank and Phoebe Ministries:

Lehigh University Veterans Day Race and Flag Raising. Lehigh students and staff memorialize those who have served this nation’s military. Open to the public. Run, walk or ruck the 2.8-mile course to help honor those who gave their all. Check-in opens 6:15 a.m. Race begins at 7 a.m. at the flag pole outside the University Center on the front lawn and loop around Lehigh’s campus (use link below to view map). The event will be followed by refreshments and a flag-raising ceremony brought to you by the Army ROTC Steel Battalion at 8:30 am to continue this day of remembrance. All donations and merchandise profits of the run will go toward benefiting Bethlehem’s Victory House, an organization that provides meals for homeless veterans in the Lehigh Valley. 2022 Veterans and Military Council annual 5K Ruck ‘n Run/Walk to honor veterans. There is an One Mile Fun Run/Walk which is a non-competitive option with no timing or awards. Off road grass course, Bicentennial Park, 5351 Park West Lane, 18017.

Race Day Check-in: 8 a.m. to 9 a.m. 5K begins at 9 a.m. One Mile Fun Run/Walk begins at 9:45 a.m. Awards Presentation is at 10:30 a.m. Music, vendors and food trucks present 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Each race option (Ruck and Run/Walk) will include seven age groups. Ruckers are strongly encouraged to carry a minimum 10 per cent of their body weight.

Wreaths Across America annual ceremony at noon at the Fountain Hill Cemetery, 1121 Graham St., Fountain Hill. Remember and honor our veterans through the laying of Remembrance wreaths on the graves of our country’s fallen heroes and the act of saying the name of each and every veteran aloud.
