Robert D. Stephens, 82, from Allentown, died Oct. 11, 2022, from cancer at home.

He and his wife, Rita A. (Elite) Stephens, shared more than 57 years of marriage.

Born in Allentown, he was the son of the late Anthony and Goldie (Bors) Stephens.

After graduating from Allentown High School, he served two years in the Army.

He retired in 2003 after having worked for 41 years at Mack Trucks, working since 1987 in the final department, repairing any defects before shipment.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by a daughter Janice, and grandchildren Brianna, Nicholas and Samantha.

He was predeceased by brothers Anthony Jr. and Kenneth Sr.

He will be missed dearly.

The family asks donations be made to the Salvation Army.
