Egypt/Cementon: Fire company plans Oct. 30 breakfast

Laurel Fire Company, 5114 Third St., Cementon, invites you to enjoy an all-you-can-eat breakfast 8-11:30 a.m. Oct. 30.

Dig into scrambled eggs, Western eggs, home fries, bacon, sausage and pancakes. Available beverages include coffee, chocolate milk, apple juice and orange juice.

There is a cost, but children 4 and under eat for free.

Whitehall Township Fire Department’s Haunted Parkway will be open 7-11 p.m. Oct. 28 and 29 at Whitehall Parkway, 4689 S. Church St.

There is a cost, but children 5 and under attend free. This is a cash-only event.

The youth group of Shepherd of the Hills Lutheran Church, 4331 Main St., Egypt, is selling nut rolls.

Nut roll orders will be accepted through Oct. 30. Choose nut, poppy seed, lekvar, apricot, seedless raspberry or pumpkin rolls.

The delivery date is Nov. 13.

You can also call for an order form, which must be completed and returned by Nov. 27. Orders will be available for pickup by Dec. 4.

Lehigh Valley Yankee Fan Club will host a dinner dance fundraiser Nov. 5 at the Cementon Park pavilion, 5185 Dewey St.

Doors open 5 p.m., and dinner is 6 p.m.

Profits will benefit the Groller family of Whitehall, whose oldest child, Joey, a sophomore at Whitehall High School, is fighting acute myeloid leukemia. Joey is facing a six-month hospital stay to receive treatment.

Tickets to the event are available for purchase at Konkrete Creamery, 2430 Cherryville Road, Northampton; Palace Pizza, 3490 Lehigh St., Whitehall; and Samuel Owens Restaurant and Bar, 128 Chestnut St., Coplay.
