Upcoming fundraisers support SHS student activities

The Salisbury High School Class of 2024 (the junior class) is holding its second fundraiser of the year. The first fundraiser is the Gertrude Hawk Candy Bar fundraiser. Candy bars are $2 and are still available for purchase.

The second fundraiser for the Class of 2024 is a gift card fundraiser. Juniors will be selling $25 and $10 gift cards. Gift cards available for purchase include Amazon, Dick’s Sporting Goods, Old Navy, Target, Wawa, Dunkin’, Panera Bread, Starbucks and many more. Orders and payments are due Nov. 16. The gift cards will be delivered in time for the holidays. For either of the fundraisers, contact any current junior or class adviser Megan Basile at mbasile@salisburysd.org for more information or to purchase candy bars/gift cards. Checks can be made payable to the SHS Class of 2024.

The Class of 2025 is holding a holiday chocolate sale fundraiser. This class is selling chocolates through Gertrude Hawk. Orders are due Nov. 3 and should be delivered the week of Dec. 5. Checks can be made out to the SHS Class of 2025. Please contact any current sophomore or class adviser Susan Wilson at swilson@salisburysd.org for more information.

The sophomore and junior classes will hold a conjoint hoagie fundraiser in the coming weeks. This hoagie sale will be through Thomson’s Meat Market in Walnutport and the expected delivery will be in December. Look out for more information in the coming weeks about this fundraiser.

The end of the quarter is approaching for SHS students. The first quarter ends Nov. 2 and students and staff will move right into the next. Report cards will come out a few days after this marking period ends.

National Honor Society is holding a blood drive noon to 7 p.m. Nov. 15. Staff, students and community members are encouraged and welcome to donate but spots are limited.
