Sharon L. Getz, 73, of Emmaus, died Oct. 20, 2022, in the comfort of her home, surrounded by family. She was the wife of Edwin O. Getz Jr. They celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary Sept. 30. Born in Allentown, she was the daughter of the late Wayne W. and Dorothy E. (Engelman) Walbert.

She worked for EFM in Emmaus, food service in the Southern Lehigh School District and Buckeye Pipeline as an administrative assistant in the engineering department, as well as being a farm wife. She was a member of the Vera Cruz EC Church, where she taught Sunday school.

She loved her grandchildren very much.

She is survived by her husband; daughters, Lisa and her husband, Daniel Pop, Melissa and her husband, Rick Yenser; sisters, Diane G. Keiser, Peggy Roche; grandsons, Derek Pope and Matthew Yenser. She was predeceased by a brother, Donald Walbert.

Services will be held 6 to 8 p.m. Oct. 28 in the Bachman, Kulik & Reinsmith Funeral Home, 225 Elm St., Emmaus and 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. Oct. 29 in the funeral home, followed by a service 10:30 a.m.
