Richard E. Kuhns, 86, of Emmaus, died Oct. 22, 2022, at home, surrounded by his loving family. He was the husband of Donna M. (Sames) Kuhns. They celebrated 64 years of marriage Oct. 18. Born in Allentown, he was the son of the late Albert and Myrtle (Schaffer) Kuhns.

He was a member of St. John’s United Church of Christ, Coopersburg.

He was the original owner of Se-Wy-Co Beverage Co., Lower Saucon Township, for several years and later worked as the manager of Link Beverage, Coopersburg.

He is survived by his wife; son, Donald R. and his wife, Diane; daughters-in-law, Joy and Ann; sister, Barbara Kennedy; five grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by a son, Dale A. in 2017; great-granddaughter, Angel Schell; stepmother, Anna.

Services will be held 10:30 a.m. Oct. 31 at the Bachman, Kulik & Reinsmith Funeral Home, 225 Elm St., Emmaus. A viewing will be held 5 to 7 p.m. Oct. 30 and 10 to 10:30 a.m. Oct. 31 in the funeral home.
