Patricia R. Leibensperger, 91, of Allentown, formerly of Coopersburg and Macungie, died Oct. 19, 2022, in her home. She was the wife of the late Floyd Leibensperger. Born in Allentown, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Rose (Spade) Gallagher.
She worked as an insurance underwriter and volunteered for various things throughout her life.
She was awarded the Lehigh County Unsung Hero award in 2022.
She was an avid knitter, quilter and crocheter, self-taught computer enthusiast, founding member of the Macungie Woman’s Club and was a great supporter and motivator for her family’s education.
She is survived by sons, Michael J. Kelly and his wife, Joan, of Macungie, Douglas C. Kelly and his wife, Ruthie, of Houston, Texas; grandchildren, Lorie A. and her husband, Chuck Brandenberger, Jamie M. Kelly, J. Mills Kelly and wife, Catherine, W. Bowden Kelly; great-grandchildren, Jaryd Karpyn, Chet Karpyn, Evan Karpyn, Brooks Kelly; great-great-grandson, Jackson Karpyn; sisters, Marjorie Eisenman, of Shallotte, N.C., Mary Jo McGeehan, of Florida. She was predeceased by brothers, John “Jack” Gallagher and “Buddy” Gallagher and great-grandson, Jonathan.
