Irene A. Schmoyer, 77, of Macungie, died Oct. 21, 2022, with her family by her side. She was the wife and companion of Lowell W. Schmoyer for 60 years. Born in Allentown, she was the daughter of the late Stephen and Josephine (Fedak) Yaniger.

She was a member of St. Ann Catholic Church, Emmaus.

She will be missed by her many friends that frequented her beauty shop in Macungie. She was a woman of many talents. She enjoyed ceramics, knitting, crocheting and cooking. She was generous with the things she made and we are grateful to be left in the warm embrace of her sweaters, hats and scarves. If you were gifted with one of these items, please wear it to the funeral.

She will be fondly remembered smiling at the beach, reading in the grove and rolling kiffles in her kitchen. Her jellies, tomato sauces, funny cakes and blueberry buckles will be missed by us all.

She is survived by her husband; daughter, Jackie and her husband, Jeffrey Godfrey; son, Ronald and his fiancée, Linda Petrole; grandchildren, Jenna and her husband, Salvatore Busa, Jordon and her husband, Shane Hendricks, Jacob, Matthew and his fiancée, Bailey Bourgeois, Frank and Jamie Petrole; six great-grandchildren, Nathan, Nora, Peyton, Rowan, Stella and Boden.

Services will be held 10:15 a.m. Oct. 27 at the Bachman, Kulik & Reinsmith Funeral Home, Emmaus, followed by 11 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial at St. Ann Catholic Church, 415 S. Sixth St., Emmaus. A viewing will be held 6 to 7:30 p.m. Oct. 26 and 9 to 10:15 a.m. Oct. 27 in the funeral home.
