·Allentown Area Ecumenical Food Bank needs help in the Client Choice Food Pantry 8:30 a.m.-noon one or more days per month. Training available. Minimum age 18 or 14 with adult.

·American Red Cross needs help for the “Prepare with Pedro” program by presenting emergency preparedness education to youth in school classrooms and other settings. Team member roles include presenter, presentation assistant, administrative support, or presenter trainer. The 30-45-minute program follows Pedro the Penguin as he learns how to be prepared and take action during an emergency.

·Phoebe, Allentown, needs volunteers to help residents find correct numbers on their bingo cards. This activity takes place 2:30-4 p.m. on Wednesdays and Fridays. Adults only.

·Flint Hill Farm Educational Center, Coopersburg, seeks the services of a mason, or someone experienced in laying cinder block for a root cellar construction project. The center has diagram, proposed site, and backhoe and operator to dig the foundation. This project will be offered for a Community Education Series as the project progresses.

·AIDSNET, Bethlehem, needs community members and professionals (lawyer, CPA, clergy, physician, etc.) who live in Berks, Carbon, Lehigh, Monroe, Northampton or Schuylkill counties to join its board of directors and help oversee the organization’s mission of building healthier communities by planning and funding HIV/AIDS Care and Prevention Services in those six counties. All meetings are held every other month at the Bethlehem office.

·Lehigh County Humane Society needs volunteers for cats up for adoption at the Bethlehem PetSmart on W. Union Blvd. This includes feeding, scooping litter, straightening the cage, and socializing with them. Shifts usually are about an hour, but if you have more time to stay and play, that would be fantastic.

·Sharecare Faith in Action, Bethlehem, needs many volunteers to help with taking COVID-19 free clients to vital appointments. All volunteers will have to attend online orientation, provide criminal background check and proof of insurance. KN95 face masks and sanitizer wipes provided to volunteers. All clients will sit in back seat and wear a face mask, as well.

·Special Olympics, Berks, Bethlehem, Carbon and Lehigh counties needs regional and local team leaders to help with coordination of Special Olympics sporting activities ensuring its mission is met and policies and procedures are followed. Head coaches for swimming, basketball, golf, rhythmic gymnastics, and bocce are needed to help athletes train and compete at their very best.
