Lehigh Carbon Community College (LCCC) will hold a virtual information session for students interested in its Aviation Science and Professional Pilot programs, 6 - 8 p.m. Oct. 26.
Prospective students are invited to an in-person tour of the airport site, 5 - 6 p.m. Nov. 2, Hangar 7, Lehigh Valley International.
Prospective students will learn about:
· Available aviation degrees
· Courses within each degree
· Costs of aviation flight training
· Benefits of aviation flight training
· Aviation career opportunities
The ground and flight training courses required for the issuance of an airmen certification in the Aviation - Professional Pilot and Aviation Science degree programs, which are licensed by the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA). Classes are held at the LCCC airport site, Hangar 7, Lehigh Valley International Airport.
The college owns two simulators: A FRASCA 141 single engine trainer equipped with GPS technology and visual display and a Redbird FMX full-motion flight simulator with visual display.
