Johnny Mathis, Gary Mule Deer, 7 p.m. Oct. 27, State Theatre Center for the Arts, Easton. Matthis is celebrating his 66th year as a recording artist with “The Voice of Romance Tour 2022.” Mathis, born in Gilmer, Tex., Sept. 30, 1935, grew up in San Francisco. Mathis has performed songs in a variety of styles and categories, from music composed for stage and film to golden era jazz standards, contemporary pop hits and holiday music. Best-known for the hits “Chances Are” (1957), “It’s Not For Me To Say” (1957) and “Misty” (1959), Mathis has recorded some 80 albums and has sold 400 million records worldwide. He is the No. 6 album artist in the history of Billboard’s pop album charts. Mathis is the third-biggest selling artist of the 20th century after Elvis Presley and Frank Sinatra. In 2003, he received the Lifetime Achievement Award from the Academy of Recording Arts and Sciences. Mathis is Columbia Records’ longest-signed artist. Blue Man Group, 7 p.m. Oct. 21, State Theatre Center for the Arts, Easton. This is the new date for the rescheduled April 14, 2022, performance. Blue Man Group began as a collaboration of three friends, Chris Wink, Matt Goldman and Phil Stanton, on Manhattan’s Lower East Side in 1987. Blue Man Group was purchased in 2017 by the Canadian company Cirque du Soleil. Blue Man Group is premiering its new North American tour. The performance features the group’s signature drumming, colorful moments of creativity and quirky comedy, pulsing, original music, custom-made instruments, surprise audience interaction and hilarious absurdity. “Haunted Illusions,” 7 p.m. Oct. 22, starring David Caserta, State Theatre Center for the Arts, Easton. Caserta has been seen on NBC’s “America’s Got Talent” and CW’s “Penn and Teller Fool Us.” Caserta has people levitating, disappearing and reappearing. There will be illusions created just for this show. An incredible night of magic celebrates Halloween.
