Northampton: Jack Frost Parade is Oct. 20

The Jack Frost Parade is 7 p.m. Oct. 20. The parade starts at Laubach Avenue and Smith Lane. It will travel down Laubach Avenue to 19th Street, then Main Street to Lerchenmiller Drive.

Assumption of Virgin Mary Ukrainian Orthodox Church, 1301 Newport Ave., will hold a garage sale 8 a.m.-2 p.m. Oct. 29.

A trunk-or-treat event will be 2-4 p.m. Oct. 30 at St. Paul’s United Church of Christ, 105 E. 19th St.

Admission is free, and costumes are welcome.

Trick-or-treat night in the borough is Oct. 31.

Those planning to hand out treats to costumed kids are asked to turn on porch lights from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m.

Holy Trinity Lutheran Church, 1235 Main St., is planning a designer bag bingo Nov. 5.

Doors open 11:30 a.m. Bingo starts 1 p.m.

Prizes include bags by Kate Spade, Michael Kors, Fossil, Vera Bradley and Coach.

The event also includes a Chinese auction.

Refreshments will be available for purchase.

Proceeds benefit the church’s building fund.

Boy Scout Troop 93 will hold a spaghetti dinner 4-7 p.m. Nov. 5 at St. Paul’s United Church of Christ, 19th Street and Lincoln Avenue. The meal includes salad, drinks and ice cream.

There is a cost. Children age 6 and under eat for free.

Proceeds benefit the troop.

Celebrate Thanksgiving with fresh-baked strudel and roasted nuts!

Grace United Church of Christ, 902 Lincoln Ave., has teamed with Heidi’s Strudel to offer apple, cherry, cheese and apricot almond strudel, along with German-roasted almonds and sugar-roasted cashews.

Orders and payment are due Nov. 9.

Pickup is planned for 4:30-6:30 p.m. Nov. 22 at the church.
