Elizabeth Ann “Nanny” (Hines) Charters, 77, of Lower Macungie Township, died Oct. 14, 2022, in her home, surrounded by her family. Born in Germantown, Philadelphia County, she was the daughter of the late Gerard Patrick and Mary Eileen (Callahan) Hines.

She was a longtime volunteer at Good Shepherd Rehabilitation Center and a member of Life Church, Macungie.

She is survived by children, Deborah Ann Zolotareva (Andrei), of Allentown, Julie H. Steigerwalt (Erin), of Fogelsville, Timothy P. (Kelly), of Emmaus, Sandra R. Binder (Ryan), of Weatherly; brothers, Robert M. Hines (Marika), Gerard P. Hines (Rose); sisters, Donna M. Hughes (Michael), Eileen M. Hines; grandchildren, Ekaterina, Carson, Makiah, Daniel, Leah, Abigail, Ethan, Jadan, Mya, Chase, Gavin, Adalia. She was predeceased by a sister, Patricia E. O’Brien.

A Celebration of Life will be held 4 p.m. Oct. 21, in the Heintzelman Funeral Home, Inc., 326 Main St., Hellertown. Family and friends may pay their respects 3 to 4 p.m. Oct. 21 in the funeral home.
