Carol A. Confer, 71, of Whitehall, died Oct. 16, 2022, in Lehigh Valley Hospice, Allentown. She was the wife of Bruce Confer for 31 years.

Born in Coplay, she was a daughter of Ida M. (Semler) and the late Joseph S. Simon.

She was a Central Catholic High School graduate. She earned a bachelor’s degree in elementary education from Kutztown University.

She was a teacher at St. John the Baptist Ukrainian Catholic and Christ the King schools. She retired from Good Shepherd Catholic School in 2015 after 41 years of teaching.

She was a member of Holy Trinity Roman Catholic Church, Whitehall, where she was an Eucharistic minister for many years.

In addition to her husband and mother, she is survived by a stepson, Brad and wife Lauren Confer; a stepgrandchild, Taylor; two brothers, Joseph and wife Maureen Simon and Mark Simon; and a niece, Shelby.

There will be a calling time 6-8 p.m. Oct. 20 at the funeral home, 326 E. 21st St., Northampton. There will be a Mass of Christian burial 10 a.m. Oct. 21 at the church, 4456 Main St., Whitehall.
