Burdelle E. Kern, 90, of Whitehall, formerly of Slatedale, died Oct. 4, 2022, at Lehigh Valley Hospital-Muhlenberg, Bethlehem. She was the wife of the late David W. Kern.

Born in Slatington, she was the daughter of late Arthur L. and Helen M. (Bergstresser) Miller.

She was a member of the former Salem United Methodist Church, where she taught Bible and Sunday school.

She was a life member of Citizen’s Fire Company No. 1, Slatedale.

She is survived by a son, Dwayne D. Kern and his wife Janet of Slatington; a daughter, Mary-Beth Fatzinger and her husband Drew Jr. of Slatington; a brother, Arthur W. Miller of Slatington; five grandchildren, Ashley, Joseph and his wife Whitney, Zachary and his wife Tina, Dylan and Marissa and her husband Sawyer; three great-grandchildren, June, Tucker and Josie; godchildren; and nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by five sisters, Dorothy, Bonnie, Barbara, Beverly and Betty.
