Pip the Mouse made his Allentown debut at Hess’s Department Store on Oct. 27, 1962.
In honor of the 60th anniversary of this event, the Liberty Bell Museum, at historic Zion’s Church at 622 W. Hamilton Street, Allentown, will present a special showing of “Pip: The Mouse Before Christmas” 7 p.m. on Oct. 27.
There will also be a reception from 5:30-7 p.m. for the official opening of the Museum’s new exhibit, “Pip, Pip, Hooray!” celebrating Pip’s 60 years as one of Allentown’s favorite holiday traditions.
There will be a goodwill offering at the door, and light refreshments will be served.
