The Bethlehem Rotary Club presented “Tastes & Tunes,” Oct. 2, St. John’s Windish Evangelical Lutheran Church, Bethlehem, to benefit Bethlehem Emergency Sheltering (BES).
Approximately 200 attended two seatings. An estimated $30,000 was raised.
Providing tastes: Deb Walter’s soups and French bread, Northampton Community College culinary program; homemade pierogies by Chef Sue Roth; Arroz con Pollo by Cristian Gonzalez, Executive Chef, The Shelby; Vegan and gluten-free lasagna by Cristian Gonzalez; meatloaf with mashed potatoes and gravy by Kayla Badway of Okaysions Katering; macaroni and cheese with pulled pork, by Kayla Badway; chicken pot pie and cheddar potato gratin, by Justin Cogan of Zest; cookie table, by BES volunteers, and beverages, by Junior League of the Lehigh Valley.
Providing tunes: Lehigh Valley Charter School for the Arts; Griffin Woodard, bass clarinet, and Tim Kerrigan, Brian Lazewski, Joe Casello, Dave Pierce and Tony Billone, guitars.
Said BES Executive Director Bob Rapp, Jr., “The work of BES continues to grow to care for those who find themselves without a home.”
