Scouts earn Search and Rescue Badges

Ninety-six Scouts from throughout Eastern Pennsylvania worked to earn their Search and Rescue Badge at Good Will Fire Co. No. 1, Trexlertown, on Sept. 10.

Thirteen troops from Lehigh, Northampton, Schuylkill, Carbon, Berks and Monroe counties were represented.

Instructors from local fire departments and rescue agencies provided the hands-on training.

An Air Methods helicopter landed on the fire department’s field to introduce the Scouts to its capabilities.
