Salisbury celebrates Homecoming

It’s time for Homecoming!

Things kick off with the annual Homecoming parade Oct. 14. The parade starts 5:30 p.m. at Salisbury Elementary School and ends at Salisbury High School. Soon after the parade ends, the Homecoming football game starts 7 p.m. against Pine Grove this year. Admission is free so come out and support the Falcons!

The SHS Homecoming dance will be held Oct. 15 at SHS, beginning 7 p.m. For those wanting to attend, refer to the email regarding tickets and registration.

The swim team is holding open swim nights for anyone interested in joining this year. Open swim nights run 5:30-7 p.m. at the Rodale Aquatic Center. Swim nights are Oct. 18, 25, Nov. 1 and 8. There is a waiver, found on the district site, that needs to be completed before arrival.

The next school board meeting will be 7:30 p.m. Oct. 19 in the administration building.

Salisbury Middle School photo retakes will be Oct. 20. If a retake is requested, students need to bring the full package with them that day in order to have a new photo taken.

Salisbury Township will hold Trick-or-Treat night 6-8 p.m. Oct. 28. Please remember as you are driving that night, there will be many ghosts and goblins out and about. Remember to turn off your porch light if you are not handing out candy to avoid many extra visitors at your door.

The Devonshire drop-off location will be open for recycling drop off 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Oct. 13 and 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. Oct. 15. The Franko Farm drop-off center will be open 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Oct. 17 and 20 and 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. Oct. 22.
