Jeffrey J. Tapler, “Uncle Jeffrey,” 61, of Lower Milford Township, died Oct. 3, 2022, at St. Luke’s Hospital, Allentown. He was the husband of Sharon A. Fair-Tapler, with whom he shared nearly 35 years of marriage on Oct. 8. Born in Allentown, he was the son of the late William F. and Marie S. (Diehl) Tapler.
He was a member of Upper Milford Mennonite Church, Zionsville.
Formerly, he was chief of police for Lower Milford Township as well as working prior as a law enforcement officer for years with various local departments such as Macungie, Emmaus, Salisbury Township and Coopersburg. Also, in Salisbury Township, he worked as an EMA director.
He worked as a county radio dispatcher and owned Dispatch Answering Service.
He will always be remembered for his weekend polka music and Pennsylvania Dutch shows on local cable television, cwtap.tv.
He is survived by his wife; brothers, Rick and his wife, Kathy, Bruce and his companion, Barbara, Michael and his wife, Jacqueline, Karl and his companion, Kristen; nieces and nephews, Jason and his companion, Emily, Jennifer and her husband, Adam, Jessica and her husband, Kyle; great-nieces and nephews, Kyle, Autum, Austen, Jordyn, Blake William, Eladie Jade. He was predeceased by a nephew, Bruce Jr.
