Egypt/Cementon: Church schedules ham dinner

Egypt Community Church, 4129 S. Church St., will host a ham dinner 4-6:30 p.m. Oct. 15 for eat-in or takeout. Tickets are available at the door.

All proceeds benefit church missions.

Holy Trinity Roman Catholic Church, 4456 Main St., Egypt, is planning its annual basket social event 10 a.m.-7 p.m. Oct. 15, with early admission 9-10 a.m. for guests with disabilities. An elevator is available.

The event will continue 8 a.m.-1 p.m. Oct. 16.

Homemade food and baked goods will be available for takeout.

Prize winners will be called. Prizes will be available for pickup the evening of Oct. 16 and the afternoon of Oct. 17.

The youth group of Shepherd of the Hills Lutheran Church, 4331 Main St., Egypt, is selling nut rolls Oct. 16-30. Choose nut, poppy seed, lekvar, apricot, seedless raspberry or pumpkin rolls.

The delivery date is Nov. 13.

If you prefer, you may call for an order form. Order forms must be completed and returned by Nov. 27. Orders will be available for pickup by Dec. 4.

Shepherd of the Hills Lutheran Church will be celebrating St. Luke’s Day with a healing service 7 p.m. Oct. 18. The service will include laying of hands around the altar, as well as confession and absolution.

Egypt Memorial Park, 4548 Main St., will be holding a field hockey play day Oct. 23. Come out to watch multiple games at this daylong event.

Lehigh Valley Yankee Fan Club will host a dinner dance fundraiser Nov. 5 at the Cementon Park pavilion, 5185 Dewey St. Doors open 5 p.m., and dinner is 6 p.m.

Profits will benefit the Groller family of Whitehall, whose oldest child, Joey, is fighting acute myeloid leukemia. Joey, a sophomore at Whitehall High School, is facing a six-month hospital stay to receive treatment.
