Bethlehem Township Commissioners held a brief meeting Oct. 3 which resulted in taking care of various township issues.
Two resolutions, one pertaining to the attendance of Sgt. Daryl Lapointe at the Pennsylvania DUI Association’s annual meeting next month, and one authorizing applications to the Local Law Enforcement Support Grant Program of the Pennsylvania Commission on Crime and Delinquency, were passed unanimously.
Among the motions passed were the adoption of an updated stormwater capital improvements plan, the adoption of a revised pollutant reduction plan and approving a 30-day public comment period, as well as a motion approving a letter of interest to the FEMA hazard mitigation grant program for the Easton Avenue Phase 1 Flooding Mitigation Project.
The board did vote to defer the motion authorizing” to advertise for bid snowplowing/removal at Madison Farms to a later date.
Pertaining to the Sept. 19 courtesy of the floor discussions about a planned bicycle/walking trail at the Traditions of America in Green Pond, it was confirmed that a meeting between the commissioners and homeowners of the TOA will take place Oct. 18.
The next commissioners’ meeting is Oct. 17.
