Arlene E. Rex, 92, of Germansville, died Oct. 1, 2022, in her home.

She was the wife of the late Harold C. Rex.

Born Nov. 29, 1929, in Washington Township, she was the daughter of the late Oscar N. and Estella E. (Zimmerman) Bachman.

She was a supervisor at the former Fernbook & Co., Palmerton, for 30 years before retiring.

She was a member of Heidelberg Union Church, Heidelberg Township, where she formerly served on the consistory and was a confirmation leader.

She was a 40-year volunteer with the former Northwestern Ambulance Corps.

Her survivors include companion, Melvin M. Snyder, with whom she resided; niece Linda M. Coffin (Jeffrey) of Slatington; nephew Paul H. Bachman Jr. (Lisa Herzog) of Slatington.

She was predeceased by a son, Willard H. Rex; and siblings Nathan R., William C., and Paul H. Bachman Sr., and Beatrice S. Hregician.

Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Oct. 6 in Heintzelman Funeral Home Inc., 4906 Route 309, Schnecksville, with the Rev. Michelle G. Funk officiating.

Family and friends may pay their respects 10-11 a.m. Thursday in the funeral home.

Interment will follow the service at Heidelberg Union Cemetery, Slatington.
