Lehigh Carbon Community College and its foundation will host the Fall Fitness Fest 5-K and 10-K to benefit LCCC students and the college’s food pantry.

LCCC’s live event will take place Oct. 29, rain or shine, on the college’s main campus in Schnecksville. Registration begins 7:30 a.m., with the 10-K run starting 9 a.m. and the 5-K run/walk 9:10 a.m.

Prizes will be awarded at the conclusion.

The first 100 registrants will receive a free T-shirt. Food will be available.

Participants can also choose to complete the race virtually anywhere and anytime Oct. 23-29. Use a fitness tracking app or wearable device to track your time. Send results to foundation@lccc.edu no later than 6 p.m. Oct. 30. Results should include hour, minutes and seconds along with your full name, city/town and state.

Because this is both a live and virtual event, instructions differ, but registration can be made for either event at eventbrite.com/e/fall-fitness-fest-5k-runwalk-or-10k-run-registration-396640621777.

The race is geared to motivate LCCC students and employees, as well as friends, family, alumni and the community to get out and exercise, while raising funds to benefit LCCC students.

There is an entry fee per person for the public for the 5-K and 10-K. LCCC alumni and students and the military will pay a small fee to participate.
