St. Elizabeth of Hungary Roman Catholic Church, 618 Fullerton Ave., will be holding its annual basket social 5-7 p.m. Oct. 7, 10 a.m.-7 p.m. Oct. 8 and 8 a.m.-2 p.m. Oct. 9 in the parish hall on Pershing Boulevard. There will be spectacular baskets to raffle and delicious food at a reasonable cost.

St. John’s United Church of Christ, 575 Grape St., will be having a gift card bingo Oct. 7. Doors open 6 p.m., and bingo starts 7 p.m.

St. John’s UCC, 575 Grape St., needs choir voices. Positions open include soprano, alto, tenor and bass.

Chancel choir rehearses 7-8:30 p.m. Wednesdays. Bell choir rehearses 6-6:45 p.m. Mondays. The all-female jubilation choir rehearses 7-8 p.m. Mondays. They sing once a month during the 8:15 a.m. and 10:45 a.m. services.

St. John’s UCC is having a pastie sale. Options include beef, chicken, sausage, ham, veggie melt or spinach melt. There are also apple, cherry and blueberry fruit pies.

All pasties are delivered frozen and need to be baked.

The deadline to order is Oct. 16, and pickup will be 2-4 p.m. Nov. 4 in fox hall or Nov. 6 following church services.

Whitehall Active Community Center, 2301 Pine St., will be hosting a Medicare presentation 10:30 a.m. Oct. 13. The presentation is presented by the PA MEDI program of Lehigh County Aging and Adult Services.
