The Lehigh Township Police Department is hosting a movie night 7 p.m. Oct. 7, featuring “Minions - The Rise of Gru,” at Danielsville Park, 1265 Walnut Drive. Enjoy free drinks, popcorn and hot dogs.

Hope Lutheran Church, 4131 Lehigh Drive, Cherryville, will hold its 27th annual fall basket social Oct. 7 in Kuntz Hall. Doors open 4 p.m., and the drawing will be held 7:30 p.m.

Barbecue, halushki, soups, filling/gravy and baked goods will be available for purchase.

Baskets, gift cards with receipts, baked goods and water or soda can be donated 6-8 p.m. Oct. 6 or 10 a.m.-noon Oct. 7.

Proceeds will be divided between Hope Lutheran Good Samaritan Fund and Northampton Area Food Bank.
