Egypt/Cementon: Youth group selling hoagies, gift cards

The youth group of Shepherd of the Hills Lutheran Church, 4331 Main St., Egypt, is selling hoagies. Hoagies will be available for delivery or pickup after each church service Oct. 9.

Gift card sales begin Oct. 2. Go to shopwithscrip.com, log in and use the code L9A248FA33862.

If you prefer, call for an order form. Order forms must be completed and returned by Nov. 27.

Support the Whitehall Zephyrs track and field team by playing in or attending the fourth annual cornhole tournament scheduled for Oct. 8 at Egypt Memorial Park, 4540 Hillcrest Lane.

Players will check in 11 a.m. Practice starts 11:30 a.m. Tournament play begins noon.

There is an admission cost for spectators, which includes food and beverages. Tickets for a 50/50 raffle will be available for purchase.

Players must be at least 21 to enter the tournament. Team registration fee includes food, beverages and a custom mug.

The top three teams will win cash prizes.

Egypt Community Church, 4129 S. Church St., will host a ham dinner 4-6:30 p.m. Oct. 15 for eat-in or takeout.

Tickets are available at the door.

All proceeds benefit church missions.

Holy Trinity Roman Catholic Church, 4456 Main St., Egypt, is holding its annual basket social 10 a.m.-7 p.m. Oct. 15, with early admission 9-10 a.m. for guests with disabilities.

An elevator is available.

The event will continue 8 a.m.-1 p.m. Oct. 16.

Homemade food and baked goods will be available for takeout.

Prize winners will be called. Prizes will be available for pickup the evening of Oct. 16 and the afternoon of Oct. 17.

Egypt Memorial Park will hold a field hockey play day Oct. 23.

Come out to watch multiple games during this daylong event.

Whitehall Township Fire Department’s Haunted Parkway will be open 7-11 p.m. Fridays and Saturdays through Oct. 29 at Whitehall Parkway, 4689 S. Church St.

There is a cost, but children 5 and under attend free. This is a cash-only event.
