Northampton: Alliance Fire Company to hold Oktoberfest event Sept. 24
Alliance Fire Company will hold its second annual Oktoberfest event Sept. 24 in the social hall, 717 Washington Ave.
Doors open 5 p.m.
Food will be served until 7 p.m. Highlights of the menu include German bratwurst with onions and sauerkraut on a bun, homemade pork schnitzel with jager/hunter gravy, Black Forest oven-baked chicken thighs and legs and homemade German goulash.
Joseph Kroboth Polka Band will take the stage 7-10 p.m.
Tickets can be purchased at the fire company.

Breakfast will be served 8:30 a.m.-noon Sept. 25 at Assumption BVM Church, 2181 Washington Ave.

The Festival of Bands will be held 2:30 p.m. Sept. 25 at Northampton Area High School, 1619 Laubach Ave.
Eighty-five musicians from the Municipal, Marine, Pioneer and Allentown bands will showcase their musical talents, returning to stage after a two-year hiatus during the COVID-19 pandemic.
The music of Sammy Davis Jr., The Doors, Tina Turner, The Beatles and more and songs from “The Grease Musical” will be featured.
The school offers convenient parking and handicap accessibility.
While there is no admission charge for the concert, a freewill offering will be collected. Proceeds from the concert will remain in the Lehigh Valley to benefit The Arc of Lehigh and Northampton Counties.
