John L. Uhnak, 82, of Walnutport and formerly of Weissport, died Sept. 17, 2022, at Lehigh Valley Hospital- Cedar Crest, Salisbury Township. He was the husband of the late Joan A. (Noga) Uhnak for 33 years.
Born in Danielsville, he was a son of the late Pius J. Sr. and Beatrice Mae (Fritz) Uhnak.
He was a 1958 Northampton High School graduate.
He was a truck driver for Hilltop Excavating, Walnutport, for more than 20 years until he retired in 2018.
He was a life member of the American Legion, Walnutport.
He is survived by a daughter, Summer Davis and husband Carlton; a grandson, Carlton Davis of Slatington; a brother, Joseph Uhnak and wife Gail of Danielsville; four sisters, Joanne Uhnak and Anne Werley and husband Aubrey, all of Danielsville, and Barbara Snyder and Suzanne Scitney, both of Walnutport; nieces; and nephews.
He was predeceased by a daughter, Jamie L. Bachman; and two brothers, Paul F. and Pius J. Uhnak Jr.
There will be a celebration of life 1-5 p.m. Oct. 1 at the Oplinger-Howard American Legion Post 899, 1140 Municipal Road, Walnutport, 18088.
