LVRR awards scholarships
Lehigh Valley Road Runners scholarship committee members along with LVRR Board members celebrated the Class of 2022 recipients with their family, friends and coaches, recently.
While the specific criteria varies for each scholarship, scholarships are awarded based upon academic excellence, athletic performance, extracurricular activities, community involvement, personal essays, and letters of recommendation, according to their website.
This year had the largest application pool of 36 applications across 14 high schools with intended majors mostly in Engineering, Sciences, Medical or Business-related. LVRR increased their committee size to accommodate the growth. LVRR sent a huge thank you to the Scholarship Committee for the countless volunteer hours they dedicate to this distinguished process.
LVRR looks forward to the scholarship ceremony each year and are so proud to “pass it on” as each scholarship is funded by our race proceeds.
