Robert “Whitey” H. Lindenmoyer, 77, of Northampton, died Sept. 1, 2022, at Lehigh Valley Hospital-Muhlenberg. He was the husband of Kathy A. (Luisser) Lindenmoyer for 19 years.

Born in Allentown, he was the son of the late Loretta Scheetz and stepson to the late Donald Scheetz.

He was a graduate of the Northampton High School Class of 1963.

He served as a 32-year officer and 23-year detective with the Northampton Police Department, having retired in 2010. He formerly served as constable for Northampton County and previously worked for the Northampton Water Authority for 14 years.

He was a member of Grace United Church of Christ, Northampton.

He was a former member of the fraternal order of Police Le-Hampton Lodge 35. He was a lifetime member and former volunteer firefighter with the Alliance Fire Company, Northampton.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by three stepchildren, Eric Politi and wife Michelle of Slatington, Lisa Politi of Bethlehem and Katelyn and husband David Cardona of Northampton; two stepgrandchildren, Ayden and Sophia; a sister, Donna and husband Donald Hoffman of Northampton; a nephew, Daniel; a daughter, Kelly Nikisher; a son, Todd Lindenmoyer; and three grandchildren.

He was predeceased by sister, Sally Vannice; a stepgrandson, Evan; and adoptive parents/grandparents, Howard and Pearl Lindenmoyer.
