Hokendauqua: Registration for HPPA basketball continues through Oct. 8
Hokendauqua Park and Playground Association registration for girls and boys basketball for the 2022-23 season is now underway. Online registration continues through Oct. 8 at hokeypark.com.
In-person sign-up dates will be announced on HPPA’s website.

Whitehall Township Recreation Bureau will hold aqua aerobics classes 6-7 p.m. Tuesdays and Thursdays from Sept. 20 to Nov. 10 at the Whitehall High School natatorium, 3800 Mechanicsville Road.
The cost for the program is cheaper for township residents.

Get ready for Haunted Hayrides in the Parkway!
The weekend dates include Sept. 30 and Oct. 1, 7, 8, 14, 15, 21, 22, 28 and 29, all 7-11 p.m., at Whitehall Parkway, 4689 S. Church St.
There is a cost; there is no charge for those ages 5 and younger. Proceeds benefit Whitehall Fire Department. Discount coupons can be found at whitehallfd.org.

Hokey Athletic Association will be holding a car wash fundraiser 11 a.m.-3 p.m. Oct. 9 at Hometown Auto Spa, 3318 Seventh St., Whitehall. The cost of the ticket is cheaper when purchased in advance at the snack stand when it is open during events.

Mark your calendar for the annual Halloween parade, food truck and bonfire, to be held Oct. 13.
The parade begins 7 p.m., with staging in the south parking lot of the At Home store, 2520 MacArthur Road. The parade will proceed onto Schadt Avenue toward Mauch Chunk Road, turn right at Schadt Avenue Park, continue down Campus Drive and weave through the Whitehall-Coplay School District campus.
Refreshments and food will be provided by the following food trucks at the Schadt Avenue parking lot before and throughout the parade: Caribbean Islands Cuisine, The Flying Deutschman, Hoff’s Kettle Corn and Vince’s Cheesesteaks.
The bonfire, with entertainment by Crippled Moonshine, will commence at the conclusion of the parade, near the parking lot of the football stadium.

Pink Pumpkins Coins 4 Chemo will hold a Bags, Booze and Bucks Bingo Bash event during Harvest Fest, to be held Oct. 15 at Faith Evangelical Lutheran Church, 3355 MacArthur Road.
Doors to the inside vendors and basket raffle open 10 a.m., and doors to the bingo hall open 11 a.m.

Whitehall Township will be holding an electronics recycling and document shredding event 9 a.m.-1 p.m., or until the trucks are full, Oct. 22 behind Whitehall-Coplay Middle School, 2930 Zephyr Blvd., Whitehall.
This event is for Whitehall Township resident only. Proof of residency will be required.
During the drop-off, you must stay in your car and have exact change or a check, made payable to Responsible Recycling Services, prepared. An envelope is preferred.
Some items can be recycled at no cost, while others have a fee. There is a limit of 10 boxes for shredding.
