Schummer intern at Bloomsburg University

Haley Schummer, of Bethlehem, completed a Bloomsburg University academic internship with Callie K Nutrition in Emmaus. An academic internship must meet a student’s academic department requirements.The position includes a formal agreement between the university and the internship site. Students work with a site supervisor and faculty advisor throughout the internship, gaining hands-on learning and practical experience for their future career.

Hare marc

Benjamin Hare, of Bethlehem, Pa., is one of 120 students participating with Lebanon Valley College’s Pride of The Valley Marching Band this year. He is pursuing a bachelor of science in interaction design at The Valley.

The Pride of The Valley Marching Band includes music and non-music majors representing almost every academic program on campus. The marching band performs at all home football games as well as appearances at various exhibitions throughout the fall semester. The band will travel to London this winter to march in London’s New Year’s Day Parade.

Holguin receives University of Scranton stole

Steve Holguin ‘22, of Bethlehem, participated this past May in the University of Scranton’s Donning of the Stole Ceremony. The event highlighted the students overcoming the barriers and obstacles faced by students, particularly students of color, in attaining higher education.

Holguin earned a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering with a minor in Spanish. He was a member of the Spanish Club, was treasurer of the Radio Club and a member of the IEEE-HKN Honor Society. He assisted with the multicultural club and the Festival of Nations. He completed an internship with Casper HQ and the Spain Pamplona Internship at the University of Navarra.

Ferrari in LVC summer research

Abriana Ferrari, of Bethlehem, participated recently in summer science research with faculty members. The Lebanon Valley College student is pursuing a bachelor of science in biology at LVC.

Lader exhibits at Muhlenberg College

Jacob Lader, of Bethlehem, presented his work at a Muhlenberg College Studio Art Honors Thesis Class exhibit opening on April 9 at Gallery Petite, Brooklyn, New York. The honors thesis is a continuation of the cumulative undergrad experience from the fall semester.

He participated in a second spring gallery opening on May 2, in the Martin Art Gallery, Baker Center of the Arts, Muhlenberg College.
