Music fun Sept. 10 at library

Parkland Community Library, 4422 Walbert Ave., South Whitehall, will host Classic Music Fun, with Miss Jennifer, for kids ages 4 and older with an adult 10-11 a.m. Sept. 10 in the Carol and Perry Zirkel Meeting Room.
Learn about different musical instruments through hands-on exploration and games led by Miss Jennifer from the Thompson School of Music. Participants will make their own harps from a shoe box.

The Magic Tree House Book Club for kids in first through third grade will meet 6:30-7:15 p.m. on Sept. 12 in the Carol and Perry Zirkel Meeting Room.
Join library staff to discuss and make crafts based on the Magic Treehouse series.

Senior Book Club will meet 3-4 p.m. Sept. 13 to discuss the novel “The Vanishing Half” by Brit Bennett, at Luther Crest Retirement Community, 800 Hausman Road, South Whitehall.

Join yoga instructor Deanna Nagle for her gentle yoga for adults from 4-5 p.m. Sept. 13 and 20 at the library.
She will guide participants through a range of motions to improve energy and focus, decrease pain in the body, and calm the central nervous system.

The Art of Mindful Breathing will be offered 6-6:45 p.m. Sept. 13 in the Carol and Perry Zirkel Meeting Room.

The Teen’s Anime Club for kids in grades sixth through 12 will meet to watch a selected anime and chat while eating snacks 6:30-7:30 p.m. on Sept. 14 in the Carol and Perry Zirkel Meeting Room.

The library’s DIY Day for adults will take place 10:30-11:30 a.m. Sept. 15 in the Carol and Perry Zirkel Meeting Room.

The library will show the movie “Downton Abbey: A New Era” for adults 1-3 p.m. Sept. 16 in the Carol and Perry Zirkel Meeting Room.

In honor of Curious George’s birthday, the library will host a Curious George Story Time Celebration for kids ages 2 and older with a parent or guardian 10-11 Sept. 17 in the Carol and Perry Zirkel Meeting Room.
There will be games and a craft project.
